These five little rooms, called “le Salette” (the Small Rooms), are sequentially located after “The Tribuna” on the second floor of the Uffizi Galleries, in the Levante wing of the building. The outfitting and the electrical system of these rooms were both fully renovated, in the context of the “Nuovi Uffizi” ( New Uffizi) Project.
These rooms allow visitors enjoy the 16th century grotesque decorations and showcase important art pieces designed by Italian artists, coming from outside of Florence.
A custom made linear LED system, designed to be mounted on the profile that holds the paintings, provides both accent lighting on the art pieces, and diffuse indirect lighting on the decorated ceiling.
