The Castle of Quart, situated on the side of the mountain on the outskirts of Aosta, is the result of numerous enlargements from the 12th to the 17th century. More than a castle, it is a real fortified settlement. What gives great charm to this site is its perfect integration in the wild surroundings, in a sunny hollow, at the mouth of the narrow valley dug by the Quart stream itself.
The lighting proposal aims precisely to restore the relationship of the Castle with the territory, and to highlight the various volumes. Technically, the lighting is obtained by combining projection light, provided by luminaires placed at a distance, with grazing light, provided instead by linear LED recessed elements.
At present, the castle is closed to the public, due to the large restoration work it has undergone. The new lighting was commissioned by the Region to allow it to be enjoyed, also in the evening hours, even if only from outside, until the completion of the restoration work.
