The Palazzo dell’Orologio is an ancient medieval building overlooking the Piazza dei Cavalieri in Pisa. Today, the palace houses the Library of the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, which has its main headquarters in the adjacent Palazzo della Carovana.
Due to the continuous increase in the collections hosted, the library has been the subject of a massive rearrangement intervention, which has also involved the remaking of all the furnishings and, with them, the creation of a new lighting.
The lighting project adapts to the open shelf organization of the library. The lighting is mainly focused on the shelving and reading tables. In both cases, custom-made elements were created in the furnishings.
