In 2020 the Louvre Museum in Paris announced an international competition for the exhibition design of the Greek and Roman art section. The project involved the rearrangement of 16 galleries, arranged around the Court of the Sphinx.
For the latter, the lighting is based on very narrow beam projectors, located above the skylight and accessible from above for maintenance. The lack of diffused light increases the effect of suggestion of an external environment, maintaining during the night the visibility of the dark sky, only interspersed with individual point light sources, almost evoking a starry sky.

For most of the other rooms, the lighting is resolved with custom made elements, which evoke the richness of monumental chandeliers in shapes and materials, but contain technological modules capable of satisfying both general and accent lighting.

The project qualified among the three admitted to the second phase of the competition.
The contest was cancelled, with no winner.
