Client: Targetti Sankey Spa
Lighting Designer: Arch. Massimo Iarussi

The lighting design of the Augusteo Theater in Salerno uses the coffered structure of the concrete vault and represents one of the first massive applications of T2 miniaturized fluorescent lamps.
The luminaires, custom made, are installed semi-recessed at the edges of each tile, and accessible from the attic for maintenance. The shade screen prevents direct view of the lamp and provides grazing light to the tile. The reflected light creates a pleasant, soft and natural diffused light effect, similar to that from a skylight.
